Hello lovely people, My name is Micaela, I am 28 years old and originally from Germany. I will challenge myself a second time to run 10km at the Melbourne Marathon. I am not a runner at all, but running for a good cause is really inspiring and helps me to push through. Since Australia is my home of choice and I am grateful to be able to live in such a beautiful country I wanna give back. Last year I raised $630 for the Cathy Freeman Foundation. This year i want to give back to Mother Nature. Bush Heritage buys or acquires land of high conservation value to protect Australia's unique biodiversity. The Red List (of the world's endangered species) shows Australia has the worst rate of mammal extinction of any developed country. The most urgent challenge is to respond before it's too late. It falls to each of us to ensure the natural heritage of this amazing country is secured and protected.
