Raising funds for young people with an acquired brain injury
Story
This October, I’m going to be sweating it out in the 2015 Melbourne Marathon; completing a gruelling 42km course through the streets of Melbourne and ending back at the world famous 'G!
Obviously it’s a personal goal but I’m also hoping to make a difference to the lives of young people with acquired brain injuries (ABI) along the way.
Austin Street, run by not-for-profit organisation Villa Maria Catholic Homes, offers an alternative home for young people with ABI who would otherwise be at risk of living in a nursing home. Austin Street is keen to plant a sensory garden for the guys so they can better enjoy the outdoors – but needs funds to make it happen.
I am honoured to be a part of this amazing race and to be helping a great cause, and I’d really appreciate your support in this endeavour.
Many thanks
